President Muhammad Buhari has once again declared his wish to seek Reelection in the coming 2019 general elections.
Mr. Buhari made the declaration after the media had left the NEC hall of APC secretariat in Abuja.
The Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Alhassan Doguwa, confirmed to press Men, that “It is true that the president has announced his commitment to seek re election in 2019”.
While the president has long indicated he will seek a second term of four years, this is his first public announcement.
Mr. Buhari took office on May 29, 2015 after defeating then incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan in the presidential election of that year.
One of his major backers in that election, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, in January advised him to drop his reelection bid, saying his administration had been a monumental failure.
The But Question probably is to, is this declaration a really nation wide accepted one? Or could this be another route to failure of another incumbent president? Our fingers are crossed.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is not taking chances to make sure the Super Eagles enjoy a smooth World Cup campaign in Russia in June. Towards achieving this, reports has it that the federation is now ready to pay the players the $2.8 million World Cup qualification bonus from FIFA, Wow. According to a top source in the NFF, the federation was already in possession of the grant and are ready to fulfill its agreement with the players before the trip to Russia. “Right now, we are ready to pay the players the qualification bonus. The money is ready and in a matter of weeks, they will get alerts from their banks. “The federation want to ensure the players are well focused, so anything, especially their bonuses and other entitlements are being taken care off,” the top source disclosed.
