According to NHISA 35 States to experience flooding this year in Nigeria

The Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency has  announced that out of the 774 local governments, 380 Local Government Areas in 35 states would experience flooding this year, I wonder the 36th state that will be free? It is definitely not your state..lols

The NHISA boss situated that, although the flooding will not be as severe as it was back in 2012.

The likes of Bayelsa suffered the fate, and caused damages of lives and properties when the flood occurred, of course Lagos should be preparing for such times


On how to contain flooding in cities, Adamu noted that the government had adopted measures such as flood mapping, flood vulnerability studies and flood sensitisation and awareness campaigns.
The minister said his ministry was also working with upstream countries in West Africa for the management of transboundary rivers Niger and Benue.

“Nigeria is also working with the Niger Basin Authority, the Lake Chad Basin Commission, Nigeria-Cameroon joint Commission and the Nigeria-Benin Joint Commission to facilitate the pursuance of shared visions and effective management of water resources,” he added.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is not taking chances to make sure the Super Eagles enjoy a smooth World Cup campaign in Russia in June. Towards achieving this, reports has it that the federation is now ready to pay the players the $2.8 million World Cup qualification bonus from FIFA, Wow. According to a top source in the NFF, the federation was already in possession of the grant and are ready to fulfill its agreement with the players before the trip to Russia. “Right now, we are ready to pay the players the qualification bonus.
